"About a year ago, my 45 year old son said to me, “Dad, stand up straight; pull your shoulders back. You look like an old man!” A day or two later, as I walked past a large store window, I glanced over and saw my reflection and yes, there I was, stooped over, definitely like an old man.
Since my twenties, I’ve been telling myself, “You need to get in shape.” As each new decade came and went, it was always, “Oh, I must get in shape before I’m 30.” “Oh, I must get in shape before I’m 40.” And so it continued. Well, the decades continued to pass and when my son made his startling comment, I was 70 years old, stooped over, all kinds of aches and pains, struggling to tie my shoe laces. It was then I decided “It’s time!”

"I have been working out religiously for the past 25 years. Prior to training with Keith my mind set was always "more is better" and, thus, my primary focus was on quantity (working out 6 or 7 days a week and sometimes twice a day). I did see results, however, as I got older my energy level during my workouts was weakening, my recovery time was not as quick and my physical gains were low in relation to the amount of time I was dedicating to my workouts (6 days a week with a couple of days of training twice in the same day). It soon became apparent I needed help and needed to examine the quality of my workout routine.
I was explaining my dissatisfaction with my workouts to my indoor cycling trainer coach, Ali Winlsow, and she suggested that I contact Keith Colby who at the time was training both her and her husband. I have been around gyms for many years and was always skeptical about having a personal trainer. I was never very impressed with the workouts I saw trainers putting their clients through. My view was that people who used a personal trainer did so because they needed to be motivated or they just liked to have someone to talk to during their workouts. I did not need motivation nor did I want a "buddy" to talk to. Ali said Keith would not only motivate me but more importantly he would educate me and put me through workouts that I have never done before. She said he is fantastic and guaranteed that I would like Keith's training product. She was right.
Keith showed me a wide variety of exercises that improved my strength, endurance and flexibility. He also gave me great advice on improvements I could make to my daily diet. Overall, I achieved the lean body mass I was seeking (about 8% body fat) without sacrificing my strength and endurance. I also had more energy during my workouts as well as throughout the rest of the day.
Keith was the first and only personal trainer I have used and I am
fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from him. I meet a lot
of people in the gym and they often ask my thoughts on personal
trainers. My response without hesitation is always "Well, if you're
serious about it you should contact this trainer I have used - Keith

It is amazing how much my 3 times per week workout program with you has improved my strength and stamina for really tough skiing.
